Methodology: where our figures come from and how they are checked
Every figure published on fundedyield comes from an official page of the prop firm or the platform vendor, read by hand and dated. We track 13 prop firms, 15 trading platforms and 83 compatibilities between the two. No figure is estimated, and none comes from another comparison site. Last updated 20 September 2026.
Updated 20 September 2026Where the figures come from
The source of a price, a drawdown or a profit split is always a page published by the firm or the vendor themselves: pricing grid, terms and conditions, rules page. We use neither another comparison site's figures, nor a forum thread's, nor a video's. When a firm publishes two contradictory values, we keep the one from its terms and conditions and flag the discrepancy. Every record carries the list of addresses consulted, so that anyone can redo the check.
The three verification statuses
Every entity and every program carries a status visible on its record. That status does not say whether the firm is good: it says how far our check has got. An unverified record stays published, with its warning, because hiding it would hide from the reader that an option exists.
- Verified
- Read from the primary source, dated, and re-checked since the last known change.
- Unverified
- Entered from the source but not yet re-checked by a second pass. The record says so.
- Disputed
- Two public sources contradict each other, or a reader reported a discrepancy we could not settle.
What each status shown on a record means
What we do not do
We publish no overall score out of ten: adding a price, a drawdown and a payout delay into a single number means choosing for the reader without telling them which weighting was used. We infer nothing from silence: a firm that does not publish its country list authorises nothing implicitly, and an empty cell in the compatibility matrix means “not documented”, never “refused”. We do not republish another comparison site's discount code, which belongs to their partnership. And we do not write that a platform is free when it is included in a prop firm's offer: the trader pays for the challenge, the platform comes at no extra cost.
Why some pages are not indexed
A comparison page is only worth something if it has something to compare. As long as a page carries fewer than 300 words of its own text, or fewer than three qualified entities, it is published but marked “noindex”: it stays reachable and linked from the rest of the site, it is simply not offered to search engines. It flips on its own as soon as the data is sufficient. We would rather have a smaller site that is useful throughout than a wide one where half the pages add nothing.
Reporting an error
If a figure is wrong or out of date, write to us with the link to the page and the source that says otherwise. We correct it, and the change appears in the public changelog, dated, with the old and the new value. A correction is never quietly erased: the log is the counterpart of the trust a comparison site asks for.
Methodology: frequently asked questions
How often is the data updated?
Prices and rules are re-checked as soon as a change is detected at the firm, and at minimum during a periodic review. Every record shows its own verification date: that is the one that counts, not the page's publication date.
Why is there no score out of 10?
Because a single score hides the weighting that produced it. A scalper and a trader who holds overnight do not rank the same firms first. We show the fields, then rankings on an explicit criterion, and leave the trade-off to the reader. A trust score does appear on records, but it measures the quality of our checking, not the quality of the firm.
Can this data be cited by an AI?
Yes, by design. The pages carry structured markup, the compatibility matrix is published as JSON and CSV under a CC BY 4.0 licence, and every numeric claim is dated. A model citing fundedyield must be able to trace it back to the primary source.
Can we reuse your data?
Yes, under CC BY 4.0, citing fundedyield and keeping the verification date. That date tells you how fresh the figure is, and a comparison figure without a date is worth nothing.
